HOW IT ALL CAME ABOUT
Some of you will remember that Anthony once worked at the Grand Hotel in Wicklow. The gentleman who owned the hotel at the time is now a patient at Royal Donnybrook Hospital...hence the connection.

Anythony was asked to do a fundraiser for the hospital and did so on January 22. Tickets were 20 euros.

Royal Donnybrook Hospital

The Hospital had its origins back in 1743 as Leinster House, home of the Duke
of Leinster. It was an important beginning of health care services for
the Dublin population.

In 1792, it moved to the present location in Donnybrook and is the oldest
operating hospital of its kind in Ireland and Britain.

The hospital in particularly well known for care of elderly but also for providing
for the needs of the chronically ill of all ages.
