SKIDAWAY ISLAND PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
SKIDAWAY ISLAND, GA
March 15, 2012

What a week it was for me as I haven’t been able to attend any Irish
Tenors or Anthony Kearns concerts for the past several years due to
illness. I am happy to report that all is well again.

The week of March 11, 2012 was similar to dining at one of
Charleston, South Carolina’s finer restaurants of which there are many.
The appetizer course was the rebroadcast of “Hallelujah Broadway”
on our local PBS station. Watching that performance just whet the
appetite for what was to happen the rest of the week. The entrée
course was the South Carolina Irish Historical Society Anthony Kearns
concert held at the Charleston Music Hall. Four friends (who had
never seen or heard Anthony in person) all agreed what a wonderful
voice Anthony has and all enjoyed Patrick’s stories and songs.
Patrick is like a good wine, better with age. What an awesome
evening of music, laughter, and time spent with good friends. Then
it was “Off to Savannah” (not Philadelphia) for the dessert course
with my husband to the Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church concert
and Safe Shelter benefit meet and greet. That concert was almost
identical to the Charleston one. Anthony was probably even better at
Skidaway Island as the venue was more intimate and we had great
seats thanks to the promoter Diane Tracy. Anthony and Patrick were
so gracious meeting all those in attendance at the meet and greet,
autographing posters and having photos taken with fans.

These three events certainly made up for some of the lost
time I had. I have added what I could remember of the song list.\
