Gen. Ritchie is one of the most decorated fighter pilots in the history of aviation.
As the Air Force's only fighter pilot ace since Korea, he was in Washington, D.C.
to receive a Congressional Gold Medal, along with other ace pilots from World War II.

Major Garrett is CBS News Chief White House Correspondent and served as
Master of Ceremonies.

Thirty-five members of Congress and U.S. Senators attended including Congressman
Charlie Rangel, the second most senior member of the U.S. House of Representatives
and a Korean War veteran; Congresswoman Martha McSalley, the first female
combat pilot, and Congressman Ryan Zinke, the only Navy Seal ever elected to Congress.
